Frequently asked questions
Puppy questions, answered.
Clear answers about availability, visits, pricing, financing, health records, breeder standards and support after your puppy comes home.
Availability and visits
What to expect before you come to the store.
Do I need an appointment to meet a puppy?
No. Walk-ins are welcome during posted store hours. Scheduling a meeting helps the team prepare for the puppy you want to meet and have a meeting space available when you arrive.
Can I meet more than one puppy?
Yes. Meeting more than one puppy can help you compare personality, energy level and family fit. A Pet Counselor can guide the visit without pressuring you to decide that day.
Can I bring my children or current pets?
Children are welcome and should remain supervised during the meeting. Contact the store before bringing another pet because meeting policies can vary by location and situation.
How do I know whether a puppy is still available?
The Available Puppies page shows the latest published availability, but a puppy can be reserved at any time. Call the store or schedule a meeting to confirm current status.
Pricing, reservations and financing
Clear information before you make a financial commitment.
Why are puppy prices not listed online?
Pricing depends on the individual puppy and the items or services included. The store will provide the current price and explain what is included before you make a decision.
Does Petland Webster offer puppy financing?
Financing may be available to qualified applicants. Approval, rates and repayment terms are set by the lender. Review the Financing Options page and the lender agreement before accepting an offer.
Are puppy reservation fees refundable?
The $50 same-day deposit is refundable. The $150 next-day deposit is non-refundable. Both are applied toward your puppy purchase and can transfer to another puppy.
Does booking a meeting hold the puppy?
No. An appointment reserves your meeting time, not the puppy. A puppy remains available to other families unless the store confirms a separate hold or reservation.
Health records and breeder standards
Documents and care information to review before going home.
Has each puppy been examined by a veterinarian?
Yes. Every puppy receives an examination from a licensed veterinarian before going home. You receive the available examination and health records connected to your puppy.
What health records come with a puppy?
The take-home records include the veterinary information, vaccination and deworming history available for that puppy, plus microchip and breeder information when applicable. Ask to review the current documents before deciding.
Where do Petland Webster puppies come from?
Petland Webster works with breeders and suppliers that must meet applicable laws and Petland Webster care standards. The team can show you the information available for a specific puppy. Learn more on the Why Petland Webster page.
Does my puppy come with a health warranty?
Puppies go home with a written health warranty. Coverage, time periods and requirements are stated in that document, so review the current terms before purchase and keep a copy with your puppy records.
Bringing your puppy home
Preparation and support for the first days and beyond.
What comes home with my puppy?
You receive the records and written information provided for your puppy, including available health, vaccination, deworming, microchip and breeder details. The team will review the current documents with you before you leave.
Can Petland Webster help me choose food and supplies?
Yes. The team can tell you what your puppy is currently eating and help select appropriately sized food, crate, bedding, grooming and training essentials. See the Pet Food and Supplies page for an overview.
Can I contact Petland Webster after bringing my puppy home?
Yes. Contact the store where you purchased your puppy whenever you have a question about the records, routine or next steps. Use the Contact Us page to reach the local team.
What should I do if my circumstances change?
Contact the store as early as possible. The team can explain the support and next steps available for a Petland Webster pet rather than leaving you to solve the situation alone.
